About Dave Kerzner
Dave Kerzner is an American singer, songwriter, producer, keyboardist and sound designer. He’s also an acclaimed Progressive Rock music artist who has performed knock out shows on Yes’s Cruise To The Edge, ROSfest, ProgDreams V in the Netherlands and more. Kerzner will be releasing his second solo album entitled “Static” on October 1, 2017. His debut album “New World” features Steve Hackett (Genesis), Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd), Keith Emerson (ELP), Simon Phillips (The Who), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree) and many other iconic musicians.
Dave Kerzner is also known for co-founding the award-winning band “Sound of Contact” with Simon Collins (son of Phil) and he co-wrote/co-produced the album “Dimensionaut” released in 2013. Kerzner also co-wrote and co-produced the Mantra Vega album “The Illusions Reckoning” with Heather Findlay (Mostly Autumn) and the Lo-Fi Resistance album “Chalk Lines” with Randy McStine (The Fringe).
Over the years Dave Kerzner has worked with such artists as Kevin Gilbert (Toy Matinee), Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), Jon Anderson (Yes), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Billy Sherwood (Yes), Francis Dunnery (It Bites), Phil Collins, Alan Parsons and many others. He began his music career in Los Angeles in the 90s where he opened for Peter Gabriel with L. Shankar’s band on the 1993 WOMAD festival and performed “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway” with Kevin Gilbert & Nick D’Virgilio (Giraffe) at Progfest in 1994. He was a member of the acclaimed band “Thud” from Kevin Gilbert and is featured on the “Thud Live At The Troubadour” DVD and album.
Kerzner is also known for sound design work with his company Sonic Reality. With Sonic Reality, Kerzner worked with some of the biggest names in music including Neil Peart of Rush, Nick Mason of Pink Floyd, Ken Scott (Beatles, Bowie) Alan Parsons, Ringo Starr, Crowded House and many other iconic artists and producers.
